Eagles steal headlines with huge AJ Brown move moments before NFL draft starts
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

There goes Howie Roseman working his magic again.

The Philadelphia Eagles locked in their No. 1 wide receiver A.J. Brown until 2029 just moments before the 2024 NFL Draft kicked off.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Brown has agreed to a three-year, $96 million extension that includes $84 million guaranteed.

Schefter adds that the $32 million is the highest per-year average for any wide receiver at the moment and it's well-deserved.

Since the Eagles traded the Tennessee Titans for Brown in 2022, he's hauled in 194 receptions for 2,952 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. He's also made back-to-back Pro Bowls.

The Eagles once again get ahead of the wide receiver market reset with Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Brandon Aiyuk, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Jaylen Waddle Nico Collins, and Amari Cooper still on the prowl for new deals this offseason.

Brown joins fellow wideout DeVonta Smith, along with six other Eagles, who have agreed to massive deals with the Birds in recent weeks:

  • WR DeVonta Smith: 3-years, $75M
  • OT Jordan Mailata: 3-years, $66M
  • G Landon Dickerson: 4-years, $84M
  • RB Saquon Barkley: 3-years, $37.75M
  • DE Bryce Huff: 3-years, $51.1M
  • CB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson: 3-years, $27M.
  • K Jake Elliott: 4-years, $24M
